A special thank you to prior clients who have taken the time to say thank you in so many ways, and who have allowed me to add their kind comments to my web page.

I refinanced my home recently after Shelby said "it might be a good time to lock your rate", which I did. Sence then, I haven't seen the rates lower, and I'm saving over $200 per month. Just about the same time I locked in my rate, I got a call from my daughter in Iowa who was also doing a re-fi on her house. When I told her the rate I was getting, she called her lender and was able to negotiate a "much" better rate, all thanks to you, Shelby. So keep it up! You are saving me money every month, and although you didn't know it, my daughter too. You are awesome!”

I am a Senior Loan Officer with Town and Country mortgage. I’ve been in the financial world of business, off and on, since I graduated from college more years ago than I'd like to reveal. I will tell you though, that when I started in this world, FICO and credit scores did not exist. Computers were brand new, and most computers had to be kept in a sterile environment that filled an entire room. We've come a long way!!

You've probably heard the stories about the good old days, when a home purchase or business start up, was primarily for the more wealthy. You had to have very good credit (which we verified by calling all your creditors and asking how you paid!) All purchases required 20% down payment, and a good job that you had been at for many years! On the upside, you could buy a nice house for under $20,000 and most mortgage payments were under $500 a month (including taxes and insurance.)

I started work at a small local Credit Union. In those days, everyone either came into the office in person to make a payment, or mailed the payment monthly. Payments received were hand posted to a paper ledger!! That was exciting! Even in the dark ages, being a college graduate mattered, so I was able to move up quickly to positions of greater responsibility. In a few years, I moved on to a large Savings and Loan where I managed the loan department. I have also worked for a few big banks in both the Securities department (where I was a Regional Operations Manager), and lending.

I very much enjoy working with people on a one to one basis. I'm good at problem solving and working with each of you, and your unique situation, to find the best loan for your needs and financial situation. That's why I'm currently working as an independent loan originator with an independent company.

One of the greatest advantages of working with me, as opposed to going to a bank for your loan, whether residential or commercial, is that I have access to more than 70 lenders. I can pull your credit ONCE, and shop around for the best loans, rates and terms for you. Then we can sit down, discuss the options available to you, and go from there. I will meet with you at your convenience (or if you prefer, we can do the entire process by phone, fax, and email, and even snail mail.)

I send out emails almost daily to keep you aware of rates, rules and regulation changes, even special offerings by lenders. I try to let you know what I know as soon as I can get word out to you. Also, if need be, I can be available in non-traditional banking hours, so you can reach me evenings, even weekends, if you can’t find time during your work day. I can't promise to have all the answers you require during those hours, but I will try to be available to you.

Most importantly, I will be your contact throughout the entire process. I will even be by your side at your closing, if possible, to ensure that what I have disclosed to you about your loan, is in fact, what you will see when you go to sign your papers. If there are any surprises, I want those to be good surprises!

I’m very excited to now be able to offer financing for business equipment in all 50 states, even if you lease the property where your business is located. Please send me an email if you’d like to be added to my mailing list, and include your name in your request. I’ll get you added within 24 hours.

Warm Regards,

Shelby
